This piece is a menu suite for a hypothetical cafe called the "Constellation Cafe". The goal was to create something soft, friendly, and cozy, establishing the restaurant as one that is relaxing and enjoyable, while achieving designs that excelled in print.
The colors chosen were light blues, yellows, and oranges contrasted by dark blues, recalling the imagery of a starry sky. Colors were kept from being too vibrant in order to keep a soft feel about the menu.
The fonts chosen were rounded and simple, with the titles meant to resemble thick handwriting, while the body copy is meant to be easy on the eyes with its simple and legible shapes.
For the text chosen within the menu, simple descriptions were chosen to keep things easy to read through. Menu items were given pun-centric names to fit the outer-space theming of the cafe, tying into the branding and adding to the cozy aesthetic of the menu as a whole.
The tools used in this project was Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign.
